Rachel and Colin could write the handbook of How to Have the Perfect Destination Wedding. We know they are humble, and may not think so, but we agree with our friends at The Eventeur that Rachel and Colin deeply understood what getting married on the beach in Mexico really entails, and they let themselves truly get swept away by the magic and possibility of it all. We’ll start with the obvious: Rachel understood that she would be standing on the sand with the sea breeze blowing through her hair, and that 100% humidity is the typical state of affairs on the Mayan Riviera. She chose the perfect dress, and paired it with pretty sandals and let her hair loose in the back because no amount of hairspray could be a match to the winds the grace the seashore. They are a couple deeply committed to making conscious choices, and they insisted that everything be locally sourced. Not one flower was flown in for this stunning tropical dreamscape. Because, really, when you are in the jungle, lush possibilities abound and what’s better than fresh coconuts that are cut right on the spot? Rachel and Colin gathered a beautiful intimate crown together and the depth of their love and commitment to one another reverberated throughout the day, with deeply emotional speeches that had us all in tears. Rachel and Colin, thank you for your generosity of spirit, thank you for showing us the depth of your love, and thank you for inviting us on this journey with you. We are deeply honoured and we hope that as cheesy as it sounds, we agree once again with The Eventeur and hope that this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
